"Dashing through the snow, in a one horse open sleigh"! Jump into your sleigh, bundle up in a blanket and enjoy a scenic ride through a snow covered forest. Sleigh rides are a great tradition in Colorado. Many sleigh ride outfitters offer rides that end in lunch or dinner with a bonfire and smores. Book early as these fill up fast.
Professional Sports Teams
Get ready to to figure eight, sit spin or bust that toe loop you've been practicing! Ice skating is a favorite pastime in Colorado. There are a number of indoor rinks but visitors always prefer the abundance of outdoor rinks and frozen lakes operating in Front Range cities and many of the mountain towns and communities. Skate rentals, hot chocolate and hot toddies are provided rinkside for your enjoyment.
Cross Country Skiing and Snow Shoeing is great excersize and a wonderful way to see Colorado's back country! Colorado has 18 nordic centers which offer everything from flat trails to lift served parks with a variety of trails to match or challenge your skill level and desire for excersize.
