Aspen Music Festival - June 29 - August 12 - Aspen/Snowmass At the 2017 Aspen Music Festival and School, audiences will be offered an intelligently curated mix of concerts exploring the season theme of “enchantment” through the lenses of myth, fairy tales, magic spells, forbidden love, transformation, and the transcendent delights of nature.
Denver Museum of Nature & Science: Current Exhibits Active science takes place at the Museum every day. Our curators, collections managers, archivists, conservators, librarians, researchers, and lab assistants, along with 600 volunteers are not only responsible for conducting research but also creating opportunities for citizens to become actively involved in science. The education staff creates compelling programs and experiences for millions of guests and schoolchildren that inspire a passion for exploring and understanding our natural and cultural world.
Crested Butte Wildflower Festival: July 7 - 16 - Crested Butte On behalf of the Wildflower Festival Board of Directors, I would like to welcome each of you to this year’s Festival – our 31st! We’ll kick off our season in June, host a 10-day Festival from July 7-16, and continue events through August. We’ve created a season with over 200 offerings including hikes and walks for all speeds and stamina, photography and art workshops, birding and butterfly outings, geology and geobotany, garden tours, cooking classes, and backcountry jeep tours.
Winter Park Jazz Festival: July 15 - 16 - Winter Park The 35th Annual Winter Park Jazz Festival will be held at Hideaway Park in downtown Winter Park. This 2 day event features many popular jazz musicians and bands.
Palisade Peach Festival: August 17 - 20 - Palisade The Palisade Peach Festival is one of the original agricultural festivals in Colorado honoring our rich bounty and history. It’s Peach Mania! Plenty of great food, entertainment, contests, activities for kids, and opportunities to explore Palisade via outdoor recreation.

Octoberfest Vail: September 8 - 10 & 15 - 17 - Vail Lionshead & Vail Village Emulating the centuries-old celebration known all over the world, Vail Oktoberfest returns to Vail, Colorado for two full weekends of Bavarian fun - Sept. 8-10, 2017 in Lionshead and Sept. 15-17, 2017 in Vail Village. A crowd favorite for many decades, Vail Oktoberfest™ was named among the ten greatest Oktoberfest celebrations in the United States by USA Today.
This past winter Colorado Ski Country received record snowfalls! Record snowfall means record snowmelt which means an awesome whitewater rafting season is on the way! Colorado offers terrific whitewater rafting with many rivers and venues to choose from. Families can plan rafting trips with a mix of rapids and cruising on smooth water. Adventure seekers have an awesome selection of rafting and kayaking through class 3 to class 5 rapids on many of Colorado's rivers.

Colorado boasts one of the Countries most fit populations. It's no wonder running events in Colorado draw big crowds all across our beautiful State. Choose from world class events like the Bolder Boulder, charity 5K's and obstacle & mud runs. There is something for everyone!
Riding a bicycle is a wonderful and intimate way to experience Colorado! Whether you prefer road biking or trail riding Colorado has plenty of choices from the grasslands of the Eastern Plains to metro trails in our front range cities to challenging rides over mountain passes. Horseback riding in Colorado is a great way to visit Colorado's back country. Get off the main trail and see streams and waterfalls, fields of wild flowers and majestic views of Colorado's mountains. You can choose from outfitters, stables or state parks to arrange everything from a one hour ride to evening rides complete with steak dinners to overnight trips with tents and campfires.Horseback rides make for great family memories.
Colorado's Wine Country is centered in Palisade which is just outside Grand Junction in Western Colorado. The Palisade area houses over 20 Wineries. The high altitude and dry climate produce many interesting varieties of wine. Be sure to tour the beautiful vineyards and enjoy the tasting rooms and quality restaurants of the Palisade region.
Colorado State Parks offer activity and fun as diverse as the geography, climate and scenery of Colorado. With 42 State Parks and over 225,000 acres to explore families and adventurers will be challenged to fit all this activity into one trip. You can do it all; camping, boating, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, sailing, hiking, bike riding, rock climbing and zip lines. Be sure to pack the sunscreen since you'll be spending plenty of time outdoors.
